Chongqing, December 15 (Xinhua) -- Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Yan Jinyong in Chongqing on the 15th and co chaired the 21st meeting of the China Singapore Bilateral Cooperation Joint Committee, the 26th meeting of the China Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Coordination Council, the 17th meeting of the China Singapore Tianjin Ecological City Joint Coordination Council, and the 9th meeting of the China Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Interconnection Demonstration Project Joint Coordination Council.

During the meeting, Ding Xuexiang stated that the long-term stable development of China Singapore relations is due to the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries and their adherence to the correct political direction. Both sides should continue to enhance mutual trust, respect each other's core interests, and ensure the stable and far-reaching development of China Singapore friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Yan Jinyong stated that the new side attaches great importance to developing relations with China, firmly adheres to the One China policy, opposes "Taiwan independence", and is willing to closely engage with China at all levels to promote greater development of bilateral relations.

Ding Xuexiang and Yan Jinyong co chaired four bilateral cooperation mechanism meetings. The two sides comprehensively sorted out and summarized the progress of China Singapore practical cooperation, exchanged in-depth views on issues such as high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road", economic and trade and sustainable development, innovation, finance, public health, people to people and cultural exchanges and national bilateral cooperation projects, and defined the direction and focus of cooperation in the next stage. Both sides unanimously agreed to deepen the integration of development plans, explore more areas of shared interests and cooperation growth points; Make full use of policy resources and promote the quality and upgrading of major projects; Cultivate and strengthen new quality productivity, accelerate the formation of landmark achievements; Joining hands to maintain the multilateral trading system, better promoting the development of both countries and the prosperity and stability of the region.

After the meeting, Ding Xuexiang and Yan Jinyong witnessed the exhibition of China Singapore cooperation achievements, attended the departure ceremony of the Chongqing Central Asia and Chongqing Southeast Asia international trains of the China Singapore multimodal transport demonstration projects, visited the comprehensive exhibition hall of the China Singapore interconnection project and the Chongqing Digital City Operation and Governance Center.
