Islamabad, December 25 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Ataullah Tarar, expressed on the 24th that he hopes the media of Pakistan and China can tell the story of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor well, become disseminators of friendship between Pakistan and China, and contribute to the construction of the "2.0 upgraded version" of the corridor.

The 9th China Pakistan Economic Corridor Media Forum, hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, was held on the same day in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. The theme of this forum is "Strengthening Media Cooperation to Promote the Construction of the '2.0 Upgraded Version' of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor".

Talal said in his speech that since its launch in 2013, the China Pakistan Economic Corridor has significantly improved Pakistan's infrastructure and created a large number of job opportunities. The upgraded version 2.0 of the corridor will focus on enterprise docking and attract more private capital to participate. We look forward to the media's continued attention and active promotion of the construction results.

The State Minister of Pakistan's Ministry of Climate Change and Environment Coordination, Sheila Harald, said that as an important part of the cooperation of jointly building the "the Belt and Road", the "2.0 upgraded version" of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor will inject new momentum into the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan.

During his speech, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong expressed the hope that the media of both countries will closely follow the vivid practice of the upgraded version of the corridor construction, and become disseminators of the achievements of the corridor construction and promoters of the strong friendship between China and Pakistan.
