On December 18th, a vehicle loaded with goods slowly drove into the checkpoint of Pingxiang Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Guangxi, completed a series of customs clearance procedures without feeling, and smoothly exited through the Friendship Customs Port. This is the one millionth inbound and outbound vehicle supervised by the Friendship Customs under the jurisdiction of Nanning Customs this year, and also the first time that the Friendship Customs Port has achieved a breakthrough of one million inbound and outbound vehicles supervised within the year.

The Friendship Pass Port, located on the China Vietnam border, is an important hub port of the Western Land Sea New Corridor and one of the most convenient land routes for China to reach ASEAN countries. According to customs statistics, the total value of goods under customs supervision at Friendship Customs reached 545.17 billion yuan in the first 11 months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%.

In May of this year, the old checkpoint of the Friendship Pass Port was renovated and upgraded, and the main channel was expanded from the original "3 in and 3 out" to "6 in and 6 out". At present, the daily supervision of inbound and outbound vehicles by customs exceeds 2700, an increase of over 60% compared to the early stage of the 14th Five Year Plan.

The relevant person in charge of Friendship Customs stated that Friendship Customs has improved customs clearance efficiency through software and hardware collaborative optimization, increasing the number of inspection parking spaces from 28 to 76. By developing and launching a smart logistics control platform, an intelligent inspection assistance management system, an intelligent quarantine processing system, and the "Smart Friendship Pass" app, and utilizing technologies such as Beidou positioning, geomagnetic induction, and high-definition monitoring, the entire process of vehicle clearance can be visualized, reducing the waiting time for goods inspection by 20% and saving 3.5 hours of waiting time for quarantine processing operations.

It is understood that the Friendship Port is one of the important channels for fruit exports from ASEAN countries to China. To ensure the safety and freshness of imported fruits supplied to the domestic market, Friendship Customs has deepened the use of facilitation measures such as "two-step declaration", "early inspection and release", and green channels for imported agricultural products under strict quarantine supervision, reducing the waiting time for imported fruits by 20% and ensuring that imported fruits are inspected upon arrival and cleared quickly.
