Dubai, Dec. 22 (People's Daily Online) -- Manama, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- The contract closure ceremony for the EPC project of the self-owned power station of the Bahrain Aluminum Plant, which was contracted by the Third Engineering Company of Shandong Electric Power Construction Corporation of China Power Construction Corporation, was held in Bahrain on Dec. 21, marking another recognition of the outstanding performance capabilities of Chinese enterprises in the international power engineering field.

This achievement has not only made significant contributions to the capacity improvement and local economic development of Bahrain Aluminum Group, but also written a brilliant chapter in promoting the long-lasting friendship between Pakistan and China. At the contract closing ceremony, the project manager of the owner, Said, highly praised and fully affirmed the high-level management and high-quality construction of the project team. He stated that the successful completion of the EPC project for the self owned power station of Bahrain Aluminum Plant not only demonstrates the professional ability and excellent execution of Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Company and the project team, but also serves as a strong proof of the strength and reputation of Chinese enterprises in the field of international power station projects.

The EPC project of the self owned power station of Bahrain Aluminum Plant is located in the Aska area of the southern province of Bahrain. The project adopts combined cycle technology and is arranged with one group, one trailer, and one air cooling. The designed installed capacity of the project is 680.8MW in winter and 592.4MW in summer. On December 22, 2024, the project successfully completed the PAC work and obtained the TOC certificate, completing the task goal one month ahead of the contract period.
